Fitting Instructions for Roller Blind without Cassette
Carefully unwrap the blind and the boxes contents.
Each blind will include 2x Universal Brackets, these can be used for Top and/or Face fixing.
We will also include some screws and plugs, please note that these may not be suitable for all installations. Please refer to our fixings guide for more information on the surface that you are fixing in to.
To determine where to position the brackets, put the blind into the brackets then offer the blind up to the window. Mark the positions of 2 holes per bracket. Ensure the spring pin on the Pin End is depressed by at least 5mm before marking the hole positions.
If fixing into the top of the reveal, we recommend having around 50mm from the window to the back of the bracket to allow clearance for any window handles.
If fixing to the window directly, we recommend selecting to reverse roll your fabric, so it rolls off the front rather than the back.
Secure the brackets in place based on the marks previously made. The correct screws must be used to ensure a solid fixing.
With your brackets securely fitted, you can now install your blind, the ends of the blind are different, you have the Motor End, and the opposite is referred to as Pin End with the spring-loaded pin.
Offer the blind up to the brackets, Pin End first. Ensure the + shaped ‘spring pin’ is lined up with the same shape on the bracket.
With the Pin End in place, offer the Motor End to the opposite bracket and secure the blind in place ensuring the prongs of the motor plate line up and drop into the bracket.
Make sure that the motor is the correct way up, the charging port and program hole should be accessible.
That’s it. Your blind is now installed and ready to use. Refer to the ‘How to operate my blind’ guide for more help if required.
Fitting Instructions for a Roller Blind with Cassette Fascia
Carefully unwrap the blind and the boxes contents.
Your blind will either arrive with Top Fix or Face Fix brackets depending on what you’ve selected when ordering. A blind up to 1m will receive 2 brackets, anything above this up to 2m will receive 3 brackets.
For a blind up to 1m wide, each bracket should be positioned approximately 75mm (3”) from each end of the Cassette. If your blind is over 1m, the 3rd bracket should be positioned centrally.
The longer, flat section (release lip) of the bracket must face the back of the blind.
Your blind can remain in the cassette whilst installing. If you remove the blind for any reason, refer to the “Fitting Instructions for Roller Blind without Cassette” to help get this back into the brackets. This can be done after the cassette is fitted if easier.
TOP FIX – Mark the hole positions before drilling any holes. Ensure the exact same distance from the window to the bracket is marked. Ensure you leave enough space to clear window handles. Drill your holes and fix using sufficient screws.
FACE FIX – The back of the bracket fits directly to the wall at the height that you’ve measured. Mark the holes ensuring they are level. Drill your holes and fix using sufficient screws.
Once the brackets are securely in place. Offer the cassette to the brackets, with it tilted away from you to locate the front lip into the bracket first and then push the back section of the cassette upwards to click the into the back lip of the bracket. You will hear a ‘click’ when the blind is in the brackets correctly.
That’s it. Your blind is now installed and ready to use. Refer to the ‘How to operate my blind’ guide for more help if required.
